Good for kids and adults! I tried it on an adult during a bacterial illness alongside antibiotic treatment, with beneficial results. The capsules are gelatinous, and one part fits into the other and can be opened. For a 1.5-year-old child, 1/3 of the capsule was given with a confirmed bacterial infection. The child experienced relief from constipation, improved bowel function, and tolerated the illness better. A like would be appreciated if helpful!

We investigated the effects of daily sodium selenite and Se-enriched yeast on heart health in atherosclerosis patients. In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 60 participants, we found that these supplements significantly reduced inflammation by lowering pro-inflammatory gene expressions.

We also observed enhancements in antioxidant levels, specifically glutathione peroxidases, while the harmful malondialdehyde levels decreased. Though results are promising, further research is necessary to confirm the true impact of selenium on cardiovascular disease risk.
